J’avais évoqué ici même, il y a un peu plus d’un an, le décès du père Bogros. Nous sommes revenus chez nous ce vendredi saint au soir, après une semaine d’absence. Et nous avons trouvé dans le courrier, un livre dont j’ai repris le titre pour ce billet. En sous-titre : Père Victor Bogros, prêtre en Auvergne. Préface de Stan Rougier [2014, Saint-Léger éditions].

L’auteure, Annie Campagne-Poudérous, a longtemps cheminé avec le père. Son livre nous est envoyé par une amie, épouse du parrain décédé de notre troisième enfant. L’histoire de ce parrain mérite d’être contée. Nous avions été invités, mon épouse et moi, chez une amie de la paroisse. Le père y était, ainsi qu’une amie du groupe de bible, et un couple d’amis très attachés au père. Si c’est ça, je le baptise ! » Voilà comment on se retrouve parrain ! Notre amie du groupe de bible a été choisie comme marraine bien entendu, et le père Bogros a célébré le baptême.

Annie Campagne-Poudérous fait un portrait fidèle du père quand elle parle non seulement de son don de parole, mais aussi de son amour de la vie, des relations, et des relations de fête en particulier. Le père, comme nous l’appelions, a été un homme heureux sans jamais être naÏf. « J’ai tout entendu ! » Sa vie et ses paroles sont profondément enracinées dans une relation d’amour dont nos amours humaines, comme il le disait à Stan Rougier qui le rappelle dans la préface, ne sont qu’une pâle figure. Il invitait chacun, sans jamais lui intimer un ordre ni même un conseil quelconque, à rejoindre cet absolu d’amour dont sa vie et sa joie témoignaient si spontanément.

Sa parole – et grand merci à Annie de nous transmettre des homélies enregistrées – respectait chacun dans sa situation, dans son désir. Mais quel appel ! Il y a du Zundel dans ses homélies, du Maître Eckhart aussi. Des mots simples, profonds, toujours actuels.

Que ce livre nous arrive un vendredi saint au soir n’est pas anodin pour moi ! Au moment où tout est achevé, dans le temps du grand silence, quand le Christ visite le séjour des morts. Clins Dieu titrait Stan Rougier [1989, Salvator] ! Le père Bogros n’est plus présent parmi nous. Mais pour nous, il reste bien vivant et, apparemment, il n’a pas perdu son sens de l’humour !
